How we support school teams

  • Accommodation recommendations for IEP and 504 plans
  • Consultation with school teams and specialists
  • Collaboration with speech, OT, and PT providers

Gifted & twice-exceptional

Supporting 2e students in the classroom

Twice-exceptional students often need acceleration in their areas of strength and scaffolding where they struggle, at the same time. Our reports translate findings into specific strategies teachers can use.

Independent Educational Evaluations

An independent perspective for the IEP team.

An Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) is conducted by a qualified evaluator who is not employed by the school district. Under IDEA, families may request an IEE at public expense when they disagree with the district’s evaluation, and districts may also arrange one directly.

We accept IEE referrals from families and school districts, bringing a neuropsychological lens to eligibility, programming, and accommodation decisions.

What an IEE includes

  • A comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation of cognition, learning, attention, and social-emotional functioning
  • Review of school records and prior evaluations
  • Input from parents, teachers, and school providers
  • A written report with recommendations the IEP team can put into practice
  • Attendance at the IEP meeting to review findings and recommendations with the team
