What we look at

Testing combines standardized measures, observation, and input from the teachers, therapists, and physicians who know your child, always with your child’s age and development in mind.

Reasoning & problem solving

Overall intellectual ability (IQ): verbal and nonverbal reasoning, and how a child works through new problems.

Attention & self-regulation

Focus, distractibility, sustained effort, and behavioral control, including managing impulses and emotions.

Executive functioning

Planning, organization, flexibility, working memory, and processing speed.

Memory & learning

How new information is taken in, stored, and recalled.

Language

Understanding and expressing ideas, spoken and written.

Visual-spatial skills

Perceiving, organizing, and working with visual information.

Academic skills

Reading, writing, and math compared with expectations.

Social-emotional

Mood, behavior, social understanding, and coping.

The process

1

Free 15-minute call

Talk through your concerns and whether evaluation, therapy, or consultation is the right fit.

2

Interviews & questionnaires

In-depth clinical interviews with parents, teachers, and therapy providers, plus standardized questionnaires from each, so we see your child across every setting.

3

Testing

Your child completes engaging, age-appropriate activities in a calm, comfortable setting.

4

Feedback & roadmap

We review results together, and you receive a written report with an evidence-based roadmap for home, school, and care.

What you receive

  • A feedback session to walk through results together
  • A written report with clear, personalized recommendations
  • Guidance for school accommodations, IEP, or 504 planning
  • Next steps for home, school, and medical care

Preparing your child

  • Describe the day as puzzles, games, and activities, not a test
  • Aim for a good night’s sleep and a solid breakfast
  • Bring glasses or hearing aids if your child uses them
  • Share prior evaluations, school reports, and medical records ahead of time
