Nicole Wallace, Ph.D., ABPP
Board-Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist
Dr. Nicole Wallace is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist with specialized expertise in pediatric neuropsychology and child development. She earned both her Bachelor of Science and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Colorado State University, where she also completed a second major in Spanish and studied abroad, gaining a deep appreciation for cultural diversity. Her doctoral training emphasized child and family intervention, including school consultation, group therapy, and the assessment and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder. She served as Director of the Psychological Services Center during her doctoral program.
Dr. Wallace completed her pre-doctoral internship at Children’s Hospital of Orange County, where she received advanced training in pediatric health psychology and neuropsychological assessment in a multidisciplinary medical setting. Her work focused on children with complex neurological conditions such as epilepsy, stroke, and cancer.
She went on to complete a post-doctoral fellowship at Advanced Neurobehavioral Health of Orange County, a program accredited by the Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology and guided by Houston Conference Guidelines. Her fellowship provided intensive outpatient training in clinical neuropsychology, with a focus on neurodevelopmental disorders including ADHD, learning disabilities, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Dr. Wallace later joined the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Children’s Hospital Colorado, where she served in multiple roles. She worked in the concussion clinic, on the Level I trauma rehabilitation unit, and collaborated closely with medical teams to develop and lead the Pediatric Brain Injury Clinic. Her work included providing therapy and consultation for children recovering from brain and spinal cord injuries, stroke, tumor resection, and epilepsy.
Currently, Dr. Wallace is a clinical neuropsychologist at Wolff Child Psychology in Denver, Colorado. She serves as Director of Assessment Services, where she provides supervision, consultation, and in-house training to clinicians. She conducts comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations and therapy for children and adolescents, and she is actively involved in community outreach, education, and advocacy.
Dr. Wallace’s clinical philosophy centers on the integration of science and practice to improve real-world outcomes for children and families. She believes that neuropsychology—at its core—is about understanding the brain-behavior relationship in order to foster meaningful growth. Her approach to diagnosis is not just about labeling but about guiding evidence-based, solution-focused treatment in collaboration with parents, professionals, and educators. She draws upon Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Health Psychology, Positive Psychology, and Interpersonal Process Therapy, and frequently uses a family problem-solving model to promote resilience and connection.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Wallace is a wife and mother of three. She is deeply rooted in her community and enjoys participating in local events. An avid runner, swimmer, and CrossFit enthusiast, she brings the same energy and curiosity to her personal life as she does to her practice. She remains committed to lifelong learning through conferences, podcasts, and a wide range of literature in neuropsychology, therapy, and health and wellness.
